For nearly 30 years, our foundation’s mission has been to support public school educators in District 87 and Unit 5 schools with grands that fund innovative enrichment programs for students. With the support of our community, we have funded over $780,000 for nearly 850 grants.

Through strategic planning with board members, district representatives, and the Chamber of Commerce Leaders on Loan group, we have identified areas of opportunity to improve our presentation — and better connect educators to the grand writing process and better connect our community to the impact their donation has when funding grants.

Our new look includes the following:

  • Refreshed website
  • Updated logo and branding

Our hope is this new look will encourage donors and grant recipients to feel more connected to the mission of Beyond the Books — “Empowering to inspire students”.

Check out some of the amazing, innovative things our educators are doing in our District 87 and McLean County U5 schools, thanks to grants from Beyond the Books Educational Foundation.
